BWCA Conference “The Journey” (sponsored by Pureflo)
0900 – 1215 BWCA/WE Members £115 & Non-members £168 plus vat
The theme of our 2018 Conference is “The Journey”.
The phrase ‘the journey...’ has become something of a cliché in our modern lexicon. However, our keynote speaker, DEBRA SEARLE, whose book gives rise to the theme of this year’s BWCA Conference, has truly - as well as metaphorically - been on a journey, having rowed single-handed across the Atlantic.
“When I was alone on the Atlantic I developed a whole toolkit of mental strategies that helped me to keep my oars in motion. Back on dry land, I became completely reliant on these strategies as tools to achieve success in my businesses and in day to day life. Employing these tools and techniques has changed my life and my businesses forever, and I hope they can for you too,” says Debra.
The keynote speech has become a highlight of the water cooler industry’s year and, in 2018, once again the conference speaker is set to inspire and motivate the audience as Debra tells her remarkable story.
The keynote speaker is sponsored by Nupik-Flo
Karen Wells of Zenith International will share the latest Market Intelligence in a session that is important to companies considering their next strategic moves.
At the 2017 Conference, we heard that the water cooler market value had increased by 1% in 2016. How did our sector perform in 2017 and what might 2018 have in store? Information is power... so make sure you grasp the opportunity to be amongst the first to know how the industry is performing.
Following the fantastic support of the BWCA’s chosen charity, Just a Drop, at the 2016 and 2017 events, Brendan Hanlon, Head of Fundraising and Communications, Just a Drop, will be reporting the effect BWCA funds have had on the health and well-being of residents in two villages in Zambia.
BWCA’s General Manager, Phillipa Atkinson-Clow, will reflect on her 25 years with the BWCA, making the audience think about just how far the industry has come. She’ll reflect on the people, standards and development of the sector from a very personal standpoint.

After a busy day, it will be time to relax, meet old friends and colleagues, and network with new colleagues at the Charity Auction & Gala Dinner. In 2017, the BWCA raised enough for construction of another borehole, this time at Shibangwa village in Zambia. We aim to repeat this success and will be raising funds to support another borehole in Zambia to help bring clean, safe water to those less fortunate than ourselves.
In addition, there will be an opportunity to play the Casino tables, win prizes, sing and dance the night away.
The Delegate and Exhibitor Packages automatically include a place at the Gala Dinner, however, separate tickets are also available to book: BWCA/WE Members £115 & non-members £170 plus VAT. (Pre-dinner drinks, 3 course meal, entertainment and wine included.)

Throughout the day, delegates will be invited to challenge themselves against a Batak Wall! Your speed and peripheral awareness will be put to the test. Donate to play and compete against your friends and colleagues, knowing that you are helping to raise funds that will provide health, hydration and well-being to those less fortunate.
