BWCA data indicates continued growth in sector

The British Water Cooler Association has announced that interim data collected from members indicates growth of the sector of over 3%, with bottled water coolers continuing to outstrip main-fed (POU) coolers for the second successive year.

This continues the trend reported officially by Zenith International whose data for 2014, reported at the BWCA annual conference in March, indicated buoyant growth for the market of 8%.

The mid-year estimate comes as BWCA announces details of its forthcoming AGM and General Meeting. The Association invites non-members who feel that their standards are in line with the rigorous scrutiny required for BWCA accreditation to apply for membership. This would then enable them to attend the General Meeting to be held in Brandon near Coventry, on Wednesday 14th October 2015.

Key presentations at the General Meeting will include:

  • POU Research Phase II results and recommendations
  • Selling the benefits of bottled water coolers
  • Maximising service levels

Applications for membership should be sent to for the attention of BWCA General Manager, Phillipa Atkinson-Clow.
