The theme of our 2017 Conference is “New Horizons: Plan To Win”. The aim is to provide practical guidance and encouragement to companies to help them plan for continuing growth, to plan for greater sustainability and to plan for new global opportunities following Brexit.
Frank Dick OBE
Winning isn’t a matter of luck. It takes planning. With Team GB’s outstanding success of the Olympics still fresh in our minds, the British Water Cooler Association is delighted to welcome as its Keynote Speaker, the former Director of Coaching for British Athletics – Frank Dick OBE.
“Winning is being better today than yesterday – every day,” says Frank Dick. “Everything we do, be it in our personal, family, social or business lives, whatever our talents and skills, there is a constant need to be in control of change and its effects.”
In another session which is valuable for anyone engaged in the management, sales or marketing within a water cooler business, Karen Wells of Zenith International will share the latest Market Intelligence in a session that is important to companies considering their next strategic moves. At the 2016 Conference, we heard that the water cooler market value had increased by 5% in 2015.
How did 2016 fare and what might 2017 have in store? Information is power... so make sure you grasp the opportunity to be amongst the first to know how the industry is performing.
Following the fantastic support of the BWCA’s chosen charity, Just a Drop, at the March 2016 event, Brendan Hanlon, Head of Fundraising and Communications, Just a Drop, will be reporting on the successful completion of the project to provide clean, fresh water to Kalungwishi Village in Zambia and on plans for the next BWCA clean water project.

Premium stands 1 – 5 will be open for visitors right from the start of registration and during Conference breaks. A number of Exhibitors will be offering on-the-day promotions, competitions and much more.
We offer visitors an opportunity to gain additional value and business ideas by providing three interactive seminars:
13:30 – 14:00 “Plan to be a better boss” – a company’s most important asset is usually their employees. Delegates will receive pointers on how to develop a strong and harmonious team.
14:30 – 15:00 “Plan your technology for tomorrow’s success” – whether you struggle with the application of customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) or just want to get better, this session is for you. Delegates will learn how to ensure their businesses are as efficient as possible.
15:30 – 16:00 “Plan to win through training” – often a neglected area, the session will reveal some of the benefits of training and development and how these deliver a commercial return.

After a busy day, it will be time to relax and network with friends and colleagues, old and new at the Charity Auction Gala Dinner. In 2016, the BWCA raised over £10,000, supporting “Just a Drop” and enabling the construction of a borehole at the Kalungwishi village in Zambia. We hope to repeat this success and will be raising funds to support a borehole in Shibangwa Village in Zambia. In addition, there will be an opportunity to play the Casino tables, win prizes and dance the night away.
The Delegate and Exhibitor Packages automatically include a place at the Gala Dinner, however, separate tickets are also available to book: BWCA/WE Members £110 & non-members £165 plus VAT. (Pre-dinner drinks, 3 course meal, entertainment and wine included.)
